Aly's Teddy & Me Project

Teddy & Me is a learning tool that the K3 teacher, Ms. Sharon uses and last Friday was Aly's turn.

Hi! Meet my new friend Teddy. I will be babysitting her during the weekend.

This is the notebook where I will draw some scenes of my weekend with Teddy.

Now I have two friends who will keep me company! Teddy and my bestfriend Becky! This is going to be fun!

Last Saturday, we went to the weekend market with our visitors, Lola Bles and Lolo Danny.

We brought Teddy with us. I strapped her with a belt to make sure that she will not get lost, and so we can hug each other all the time!

First, we went to the Grand Millenium Hotel to pick up lola Bles and lolo Danny.

To make sure that I can walk comfortably, I wore the shoes that lola Aple and lolo Bernie gave me.

We arrived at the weekend market early. Some of the shops were still closed and there were not too many people yet so mom was able to take some photos.

I showed Teddy some of the neat stuff that you can find in Chatuchak, like these ceramic windchimes.

They also have foam toys and decor for kids.

Nice lights!

Look at all these shoes!

Seeing all these shoes made my dad happy :)
a

Check out these miniature stuff that we found.
a

It looks like a real food cart complete with veggies, barbecue and plates!
a
a
More food carts! This entire mini-market can fit inside my backpack!
a
a
I'm sure my mom will go crazy if these are real cakes!
a
a
Wow! Ice cream heaven! Can you spot the mini banana split and sundaes?
a
a
Oops, we have to be careful now. We don't want to break any of these ceramic bells...
a

or these salt and pepper shakers.

These mini flower pots are perfect for my room!

More ceramic stuff!

Mom also bought me something for my room.
a

I would have loved to do more shopping in Chatuchak, but I didn't feel too good so my dad brought me and my mom back to our apartment so I can rest. Teddy and I wore matching pink shirts!
a
a
The next day, I felt a lot better so we went to the Gourmet Market to buy groceries. We forgot to bring a belt so mom stuffed Teddy inside my jacket instead.
a
a
Isn't that cute?

Here's what I drew on Teddy's notebook.

It was a fun weekend with Teddy!

Alyannah's First Day Of School

Last August 18, 2008/Monday, our little girl started a new school year at NSIS. Aly was literally counting the days till the first day of school. Well, I wouldn't really consider it counting because she would skip the other days and just focus on the 18th. I had to remind her na mommy's birthday muna before start of school. Hehe!

As expected, I took photos but I'm glad I wasn't the only mommy with a camera on that day (unlike in summer school). Haha! Here's our eager beaver in action.
a
a
I can't wait to start school! Bye, mom!
a
I'm so excited!
a
Mom, I said I'll be back before you know it. So don't miss me too much, ok?
a
This is where we put our shoes!
a
Wow! We're in a new classroom!
a
Gosh! So many playmates and so may toys! Where should I start?
a
Hi Meena! How was your summer?
a
Hey, Manolia! Who are you calling?
a
Ok, I'll catch up with you later. I'll just play first.
a
Look, mom! I'm playing with the kitchen set! Just like you!
a
Bye, mommy! I'll see you later!
a
a
Aly was thrilled to see her classmates -- her old summer school pals and some new faces. She's now in Kindergarten 3 (K3), which is a year away from the first grade. Oh my, malapit na pala sya mag grade one! She is growing up really fast indeed!
a
a
As for the stage mommy, I didn't have much separation anxiety. Just a teensy weensy bit. Hehe! At least it's not as bad as the one in summer school!

Alyannah's Picture Gallery

As promised, here is my post showcasing the photos that Alyannah took during my birthday week. I will also include here other photos that she took over the past couple of months. You see, our little girl impressed her titas not only with her shopping/lakwatsa/lakaran endurance, but also with the photos that she took. So allow the stage mother to brag. Hehe!

When we bought a new DSLR, we gave our old Sony digicam to Aly, hoping that she will take interest in taking photos. I'm glad that she did! All we had to teach her were the basics on how to operate the camera -- how to turn it on/off, how to take a shot, and the like. She would also tinker with the camera on her own...blah, blah, blah...Ok, I know you're no longer interested in this because you want to see the photos already so without further ado, here are the photos that our future photographer, Alyannah, took with her digicam:

Let's start with her favorite subject, herself...

...then, she also discovered the mirror...

...she got more creative by taking photos upside down.

When Aly learned how to use the self-timer, it became her favorite.

Nung una, paupo-upo lang sya, tapos natuto din syang mag-pose...

...and to use a different angle.

Syempre, hindi pwedeng mawala si Becky, one of her favorite subjects.

She also likes these "you shoot me, I shoot you" pics...

This is one of my favorite pics because she was able to capture her lolo Bernie's smile.

Now, let me show you the photos that she took at the Grand Palace when our visitors were here.
Aly took these photos like a pro. She would kneel down to get a better angle, she'd wait for the other people to pass by, etc. She became a bit bossy too because she would bark orders to her titas like "stay there", "don't move", "stop", etc. She got carried away so I had to remind her to say "please" and to ask the titas nicely.
a
The next day, Aly also took photos of my birthday party at R&B Karaoke.
a
a
a
a
That's all for now! I will collect more photos so I can brag again. Hehe!
a
Before I close this post, here's one more look at our little photographer:
a
a
Great job, Aly! Mom and dad are very proud of you! *Hugs!!*
a
a
Notice how she also uses the viewfinder even if it's a point-and-shoot camera? Feeling naka DSLR din sya.
