The Wait at the Airport

We arrived really early last Saturday because we thought that the airport will be busy -- but we were wrong. Our flight was at 10:45am, but we were there around 8:00am.

We're flying to Chiang Mai via Air Asia.

So after checking our bags, we still had an hour and a half before we board the plane. We browsed through the shops a bit just to kill time, but after seeing the same stuff over and over, we decided to head to gate B1 so we can sit. Pero hindi pa kami pinapasok. The attendant said we're too early for our flight and we should come back around 10:15am. Haha! Richard said that this was the first time he ever heard that -- to think he's always on time. Oh well...we decided to look for another place to sit, and we were led to this nice restaurant where we were forced to have brunch. I say "forced" because we ate breakfast before leaving the apartment, and since we had nothing else to do, kumain na lang kami ulit. Hehe!

Aly and I shared this dish: scrambled eggs with bacon and sausage.

Richard had a bowl of spicy noodles.

Check out the restaurant's interiors...nice for an airport restaurant, no?

After eating, we went to gate B1. We still had a couple more minutes to wait before boarding so the excited tourists took more photos.

Finally, it was time to board the plane! Here's a tip if you're flying Air Asia: the seats are on a first-come, first-serve basis kaya dapat mauna ka sa pila if you want good seats. You can pay extra (THB150) if you want to have an Express Boarding pass -- this means, you get to board the plane first. We didn't pay for express boarding kasi sanay naman kami sa mga unahan na ganyan. Haha!

We still got good seats even without Express Boarding.

Can't wait to land in Chiang Mai!!
