New Year's Eve

After the whirlwind of parties, visits and get-togethers in the last three weeks, we've finally come to the last shindig for the year 2008! As I've mentioned, my family does not normally prepare for noche buena. Instead, we go all-out for our new year's eve party. Here are some of our media noche staples:
a
a
Mga bilog na pagkain. Here we have three different kinds of cake and my palpak cheesecake...
a
a
...chocolate chip cookies, crinkles, m&m's, kisses (ok, it's not round so extra lang yan)...
a
a
...seven kinds of fruits...
a
a
...I arranged all of them on the table...with flowers...
a
a
...another must-have is mom's mouth-watering steak. She uses only tenderloin cut para pabilog pa rin yung hiwa (or sort of)...
a
a
...the main event -- daddy's fireworks/firecracker show. He buys them all the way from Bulacan pa. Here, he has all his kwitis ready...
a
a
...it took him years to perfect his kwitis launch table.
a
a
All lined up and ready for blast off.
a
a
I also prepared spicy bacon pasta.
a
a
Now that we have all the elements ready, let's turn up the music and get the party started!
a
a
Chig and Joanne.
a
a
Mick can't wait to start with the chow!
a
a
Si Jof naman...he just woke up. Aly and Gabbi woke him up by blowing their torotot outside his bedroom. Hehe!
a
a
Excited na si Gab!
a
a
Lahat kami excited na rin!!
a
a
Let's go outside!
a
a
a
a
Fireworks...
a
a
The grand finale: sawa.
a
a
Here's to a blessed year ahead!
a
a
Happy new year!!

Ang saya naman! Did you bake/make all of the dessert?

No, not all...just the cheesecake and the chocolate chip cookies. The rest were either bought or given as gifts.
