Day Trip to Pattaya - Nong Nooch Tropical Garden

We were invited by the Abuegs to join them and the Cenacle group on a day trip to Pattaya on 31 January 2009. Our itinerary: visit Nongnooch Garden in the morning and chill at Jomtien Beach in the afternoon. How can you say no to an entire day of doing nothing but pasyal and hanging out at the beach?
a
a
Here are the photos that we took at Nongnooch Garden.
a
a
This display is made entirely of corn.
a
a
Galing, no?
a
a

I like that they have skywalks so you can have a nice top view of the gardens.

At the skywalk.

When Alyannah stepped foot on this lawn area...
a
a
...she started running...
a
a
...back and forth...
a
a
...para syang nakawala sa kulungan...
a
a
...bihira lang kasi makakita ng garden na ganito. Heehee!
a
a
I'm glad she enjoyed it.
a

As a mommy, you live for moments like this!

Ang ganda ng mga bulaklak.
a
a

I wish I had these at home...but I'm sure they will die within a week!
a
a
Speaking of killing plants...hehe! When we were on our way to Pattaya, I spotted a couple of plant shops along the road. I mentioned to Richard that maybe we can drop by on our way back because I wanted to buy some plants for the house. You know what my dear husband told me? Baka mamatay lang daw yung mga halaman kaya dapat daw cactus na lang ang binibili ko. HAHAHA!! Anyway, back to my kwento.
a
a
Look at the giant ants!
a
a

Yikes!!
a
a

Scary!!!
a
a

Look, mommy! I'm riding on the ant!
a
a

What if these were real ants and they were crawling up your house?
a
a

Good thing they're not real! Or else they won't be this cute.
a
a

More of the European Garden.
a
a

This is the...uh, Stone Garden? Hehe!

a
The Topiary Garden as seen from the skywalk.

a
Outside the mini zoo.
a
a
Nong Nooch Garden is a good day-trip destination for families. Nevermind the heat because the stunning landscape is soo worth it!
a
a
Next: Jomtien Beach.

You're right, teacher Dee! She now loves to be photographed -- marunong na rin sya mag-pose! There are times when we'd go to the mall and she'd see a nice display, gusto nya magpa-picture. Eh sometimes I forget to bring a camera so sad sya. Haha!
