Craving for Inihaw na Baboy

Gosh, I miss eating inihaw na baboy! Good old, salt and pepper seasoned, char-grilled inihaw na baboy dipped in suka with sili. Samahan mo pa ng sinigang na baboy! Hayyy...

To satisfy my craving, I prepared inihaw na pork chop for lunch one time. Since bawal mag-ihaw sa apartment namin, I just grilled the pork chops in my oven. The pork chops here are huge! And they're thick too, not like our pork chops back home.

The verdict: Richard loved it! The pork chops were really big, we didn't eat rice anymore. But we both agree na iba pa rin yung inihaw sa uling. It has more flavor kasi. Next time I will try liempo and see if it's better but I will definitely ask ate Gelyn to include prepare this for us when we come home next month!

Actually the trip is unplanned. I just found out about it last week when Richard came back from a business trip. We need to work on some papers daw kasi. We'll be staying for a week lang para mas mura yung ticket.

I'm happy that I'm able to help you with your cooking :) I'll try to post more. Hinaan mo lang para di masunog. Hehe!

hay, i'm craving the traditional inihaw as well. pork, chicken or fish seasoned with salt & pepper only, not the overpowering bbq style marinade. i was looking for the best place i could get that here in manila, that's how i bumped into your blog. by the way, the porkchops look amazing! i love how thick they are, they're probably juicy and tasty as hell. sigh, if anyone knows where i can get the best tasting inihaw, do post it here or somewhere on the internet, i'm having a hard time googling a well-reviewed inihaw place. here's to more hearty & tasty meals from the domestic goddess! cheers!
