No summer vacation will be complete without a trip to the beach so the moment I was able to confirm our flight to Manila, I immediately sent an email to my friends to let them know that 1) we will be coming home, and 2) that we should start making plans for a beach trip.

We've been going to Pat's lola's beach house in San Juan, Batangas for two years in a row now. Last year, a send-off party was held for us here together with Ria's birthday celebration.

This is the view that I woke up to.
a
aThe orange tent in the background is Ria and Kerwin's high-tech tent. I call it high-tech because I've never seen a tear-drop shaped tent before. I used to think that all tents are dome-shaped. Heehee! Aerodynamic daw yun so it can withstand high winds on the mountain.
a
aThe beach house. This place has been witness to a lot of fun memories with my friends -- Katab's alcohol-induced antics, Aris's late night pangungulit, the silly dancing (remember Kerwin's point-point-fist-fist dance step?), all-day all-night laughing. And did I mention the food?! Gosh...here we eat like five times a day -- full meals at that! Breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner! Hindi pa counted yung snacks in between the snacks. Haha! Here you live and eat like royalty and as my friend Pat would say, that's her kind of vacation. Ditto!!
a
aWe were blessed with lovely beach weather. Mom said it was raining in Tagaytay during that time so we were lucky.
a
aThe kids caught some jellyfish. It did not sting at all. Big Moe wanted to bring them home.
a
aRia, beautifully tanned as always, chilling on a hammock.
a
aAly tried out the hammock too. Thanks, tita Ri for helping her.
a
aThe kids -- Gabbi, Bianca, Aly and Moe had a great time too!
a
a
Playing with tito Kerwin's poi -- and thankfully not injuring themselves or anyone with it.

Chilling with Pat, Fides and Ria. Let's make this a yearly thing, ok? Maybe we can also go to other places like Bohol, Galera...anywhere as long as we get together.
