Aly-isms: How Babies are Made

God bless my six-year old for she says the funniest things!

What are Aly-isms, by the way? These are some of my little girl's ideas that are too cute, it would be a crime not to share them with you. For example:
a
a
Last night, while we were having dinner, I reminded Aly that we will be going back to her pediatrician on Saturday for another appointment.
a
Aly: Why mommy?
a
Me: Because the doctor wants to know if the medicine that she gave you took away your cough and sipon.
a
Aly: Ok, mommy.
a
a
So we ate dinner, watched American Idol, then prepared for bed. After washing up and changing into her pajamas, Aly approached me.
a
Aly: Mommy, how come you're not going to the doctor too?
a
Me: Why, sweetie? Why does mommy need to go to the doctor?
a
Aly: To have a baby.
a
Me: You think if mommy goes to the hospital, we can have a baby already?
a
Aly: Yes, mommy. I want to have a baby sister already.
a
a
Awww...my six-year-old thinks that babies come from the hospital. Heehee! At least I won't have to worry about the "birds and the bees" talk for now.

Tine to get ready. If uou're not already familiar with the children's book HOW BABIES ARE MADE (Time Life Books)I urge you to get it. It wonderful-no, it's perfect-for parents to use with 3-10 year olds to teach them the basic facts of life.
