Aly Goes Shopping with Her Christmas Money

Aly knows that she cannot buy toys on a whim. She can buy books though, on a more regular basis, provided that she finishes reading them before buying a new one. Toys, however, are reserved only for special occasions like birthday or Christmas. If she sees something that she really likes, we just tell her to add it to her wish list.

Last Christmas, Aly received a good amount of Christmas money from her lolas and lolos. As a treat, we told her that she can buy any toy that she wants with her money.
a
aShe chose Barbie, of course. Barbie Three Musketeers, to be exact.

She was supposed to buy just one doll, but lolo Bernie gave her more money so she got another one. Sigh...si lolo Bernie talaga...oh well, gotta leave the spoiling to the grandparents then!

Woohoo! Nakasimangot si Aly kasi she didn't want me to take her photo. The lady behind us naman was too atat to pay, ayaw tumabi. She ruined the shot tuloy -- not to mention the moment! Hmph! Erase ka tuloy.

Happy na with her new purchases!

This really was a treat for Aly. You see, she's not the type of kid na magtuturo when we're at the mall. There are some instances when she'd tell me or her daddy that she wants something (she still is a kid after all), but when we tell her that we'll just buy it next time, she will not throw a tantrum. She's easy to talk to and she would understand. Richard and I are very lucky.
